Nilphamari Sadar Upazila at a glance

 Nilphamari Sadar Upazila is located in the heart of Nilphamari district. It is bounded on the east by Jaldhaka and Kishoreganj upazilas, on the south by Syedpur upazila, on the west by Dinajpur and Panchagarh districts and on the north by Domar upazila. Agriculture dependent 90% of the simple people of this upazila are dependent on agriculture in one way or another. Paddy, wheat, potato, tobacco and many other crops are grown in large numbers on the horizon of Nilphamari Sadar Upazila. Cultural personality Asaduzzaman Nur was born in this upazila. Uttara EPZ is playing a leading role in employment and earning foreign exchange in the area. One of the tourist centers of the huge lake area called Nilsagar. The recently launched Nilsagar Intercity Express is playing a significant role in train communication.
